"Lil Roc, born and raised in the state of Arkansas on January 29, 1993. As a baby Lil Roc's mother would play music to make him stop crying. Growing up on the southwest side of Little Rock, Lil Roc is very familiar with the crime & struggle of the streets in his environment. However Lil Roc was blessed enough to have a mother and father in the home whom kept him and his younger brothers away from the streets and into more constructive activities. Things like baseball, basketball, and even art classes. As a student in elementary and middle school Lil Roc has always made good grades. Ironically even though Little Rock, AR crime rate is very high to be a smaller city life was good for him and his family until one day at Horace Mann Middle School LIl Roc found himself being questioned by an FBI agent due to some things they were accussing his father of. Shortly after LiL Roc's grandfather passed away. But this was only the beginning in 2006 Lil Roc's mother and father separated and Lil Roc's mother took him and his brothers to live in Emerson, Arkansas. A very small town full relatives of Lil Roc. Some of Lil Roc's cousins were into rapping and writing rhymes but never had anything to record there rhymes on. When they discovered Lil Roc had a laptop with the sound recorder program they Lil Roc and his cousins began recording a few freestyle records. They didn't have a professional recording studio and a super producer making beats, just a yahoo microphone and celebrity instrumental. At age 12 Lil Roc began writing music but was not good at all. Living poor with hardly no food Lil Roc never took rap seriously as a way out. All this changed when Lil Roc's mother moved Lil Roc and his brothers to Louisiana. It was here when Lil Roc decided he was going to become better because of all the competition here. By age 16 Lil Roc had found his style and starting to become popular around his high school from his rhymes. Now at age 19 he is getting ready to drop his solo independent album "Destine To Be A Hog" on November 3rd, 2012 in efforts to put Arkansas on the map to get the proper recognition it deserves"
